Weekly Question
In honor of my recent job-quittin', please tell us about a time that you gave your notice.
I've always been pretty boring about it all. I kind of regret being as nice to Bossman about it all as I was--i.e., making sure he had enough croissants in the freezer so he could enjoy his vacation--but whatever. My guess is that he has actually "suffered" the most of any boss I've had as a result of my departure (the croissants apparently still suck, 9 months after I left), though it probably doesn't much affect his bottom line, and it's probably not a "for want of a nail" situation.
All in all, the past few days have been full of revelations in my head about how much stress that job was causing in my life, body, self, etc.
