This was supposed to be a blog about extracting every ounce of pleasure from life, but it seems to be, in fact, largely a dream journal with notes on baking, Trader Joe's, and celebrity chefs.

For the record
I feel better after a good night's sleep, 15 minutes of lightbox therapy, and a breakfast of steel cut oats made overnight in the Crock Pot, topped with a poached egg. Rest! Light! B vitamins! Here we go!
Maybe all you needed was a distraction... how about watching a movie, perhaps Forest Gump would also put in a different mood. I find that an evening with 3 or 5 glasses of wine also helps and is faster acting than oatmeal and vitamins.

You know I hate Forrest Gump, right? (If not, see "About Me" in sidebar.) :)
Wine makes it worse. I actually avoid drinking during the winter!
My panacea movies are "Zoolander" and "Center Stage".
