Confession.

I really like hot dogs! Really, really, really. I especially like the hot dogs that get a little burnt on the grill.

And I'm not talking about turkey dogs, or soy dogs, or reduced sodium dogs, or reduced fat dogs. I am talking about full-fat, full-sodium, ideally all-beef HOT DOGS, with a little ketchup and mustard.

How about you?

I love a good hot dog on occasion, during an event of some sort -- barbecue, cookout, party. Ketchup and mustard are essential; onions, relish, etc. are OK.

An exception: Flo's Hot Dogs. God, I could eat those things every single freaking day. When topped with Flo's famous relish, mayo, and a bit of celery salt, they're AMAZING. A little sweet, a little crunchy...my mouth is seriously watering now.

If you ever find yourself on Route 1 in Cape Neddick, ME, make sure to stop by.

Mmmmm, wieners. Mustard and sweet relish. Soft, nutrition-free bun. No sauerkraut or chili, either.

Ann: I don't know when I'll ever be at Rte 1 in Cape Neddick, but I will hold that image in my heart.

Larry: You are correct about the appropriate bun!
